Training
We at Families for Children believe that in order to act as an effective foster carer you will need access to support and ongoing development opportunities. In addition to the support of a qualified social worker you will also have the opportunity to participate in a training programme which will meet your ongoing need for development. During your assessment you will be expected to attend our preparation training. Also, each year we produce a new training programme which links to the Childrens Workforce Development Council Standards (CWDCS). All our courses are designed to develop your skills to help you create a safe and nurturing family home for the children and young people that you care for.
