Short-term, respite and emergency placements
Circumstances sometimes demand that children are taken into care quickly, often late at night.
Families for Children provides a 24 hour placement service, with a team of carers who offer comfort and support to children in what can be a frightening and extremely distressing situation.
Occasionally emergency placements can extend to become a short or long term placement. During longer placements, for various reasons, carers may need a break. Families for Children will work closely with the child and carers to find the most suitable respite placement. This may be with other Families for Children carers, extended family or appropriate friends.
