Education support
For children who require additional support either in school or outside of school, Families for Children will work closely with carers to ensure the child's needs are met. Some children require a specialist educational placement. The Families for Children team will help to identify what provision is most suitable or assist in devising a tailor made educational programme.
Educational needs are assesed for all Looked After Children through a Personal Education Plan and foster carers are encouraged by our teams to support the child's key targets.
All programmes will be carried out in conjunction with the Local Authority.
