Who can foster
The main requirement of a foster carer is to offer a safe and nurturing environment that a child in need demands.
If you feel you have that ability then please talk to the placement service team at Families for Children. Whatever your religious or ethnic background, whether you are married or single, or in a same sex relationship, if you can demonstrate to us that you can help a child placed into our care then we can work together.
The placement service team staff will talk to you about the training processes that you will need to make time for before we can place a child with you. They will talk to you more about the financial and support package we offer our carers and will also send you an information pack and DVD. This provides you with lots of information about the unique rewards of fostering and the benefits of doing so with Families for Children.
